(Photo by Pattarapong Chatpattarasill)Celebrity race driver Akarakit Worarojchroendet reported to police on Friday in an attempt to clear up suspicions about alleged connections with the Lao drug kingpin Xaysana Keopimpha. Akarakit, alias Benz Racing, arrived at the Narcotics Suppression Bureau (NSB) with his mother and made his way past an army of reporters. Mr Akarakit was not at home at the time of the raid. The raids were part of a campaign to crack down on the network of Xaysana after the accused Lao drug lord was arrested at Suvarnabhumi airport on Jan 19.
